Standard Rooms

There are 3 Standard Rooms: Nguni Room, Hamra Room and Kane Room.

The Nguni Room is light greens and whites to create a distinguished and exclusive ambiance which feels homely and welcoming at the same time. You’ll love the bathroom (see slideshow images) which has a beautiful walk-in shower.

The Hamra Room is in a secluded and quiet corner of the house but the decor is very striking in greys, pinks and greens. The essence of the room is bold and opulent with lots of gold and polished brass. It has a sensational bathroom with a handmade sink atop a yellowwood and oak table and a freestanding Victorian brass and copper tap rail around it. The sink and tap rail were custom made for the room, as well as the shower fittings. There is also a large walk in shower with a separate hand shower and a King bed, or twin singles if you prefer.

The Kane Room is still very comfortable and cosy: there’s a big sash window to let in lots of light and a wonderfully high ceiling to create an extra sense of space. There’s a Queen sized bed and glimmering Oregon pine floor along with a compact shower room. The Kane Room works best as a comfortable single although it can accommodate two guests for short stays.  

Note that there is a surcharge for two guests sharing this room. The Kane Room is right next to the Koi Pond Room, so if you’re looking for accommodation for three guests, the two rooms work well together.

Please note that this room is quite close to the front door of Parker Cottage: if you’re a light sleeper, you might like to consider another room.
