Luxury Rooms

There are 3 Luxury rooms each individually designed: Fitzroy room, Von Veh Room and Paterson Room 

The Fitzroy Room features a superbly comfortable, top-of-the-range King sized bed with memory foam topping and a custom-designed and built headboard or 2 Single beds option. The Fitzroy has warm colours of blues and greys. There’s the original marble mantlepiece surrounding the wood-burning fireplace and lots of room to spread out and relax in two beautiful cosy chairs.

It faces out onto the garden of the guesthouse through two enormous sash windows (which are over 2 metres high) so it’s light and airy. The Fitzroy Room is situated away from the front door and the dining room, making it quiet and secluded.

The bathroom has bold Regency stripes and a ball-and-claw bath and a separate shower too. And we provide you with free bubble bath and crystals for a really good soak!

The whole room is decorated in a wonderfully Victorian style, warm and cosy with the touch of luxury. This is one of our flagship guesthouse rooms for a special occasion or once-in-a-lifetime holiday.

The Von Veh Room is one of our most luxurious rooms at Parker Cottage B&B Cape Town. Decorated in regal blues, silvers and light grey, it boasts a purpose-made wrought iron four poster King-sized bed and a grand, marbled fireplace. A wardrobe painted in Scandinavian style and a writing desk compliment the style. The décor of the bathroom, where you can languish in the ball-and-claw bath. There is also a separate shower. 

This is the kind of room where you can imagine yourself the star of some elegant period drama, (remember Gone With The Wind or Doctor Zhivago?) Small touches keep the room feeling friendly despite its romantic grandeur.

The Paterson Room is a large, airy room in a quiet and secluded area of the house in what used to be the owner’s quarters at Parker Cottage B&B. It has a lovely light shower room decorated in reds and greys and pretty Victorian washstand with its original black marble surface. This room has either a twin bed or a King, as you prefer, and is decorated in an Afro-Chic style in light greens and whites with some kitsch elements. 

It looks out onto a small private courtyard where you can catch the sun late afternoon and have a secluded breakfast too, if you like. It also has air conditioning.
