Parker Cottage Guesthouse Cape Town is a little different from the usual hotel or guesthouse. What makes them different? Rather than being just a conventional place to sleep, Parker Cottage offers a very much unplugged urban retreat right in the creative heart of Cape Town; harmoniously blending simplicity, comfort, world-class service and an active concern for society and the environment.
At Parker Cottage B&B, they offer a wide range of accommodation, from luxurious rooms for a romantic escape, to more economical rooms for those who visit Cape Town to work and explore. A Family Suite (sleeping up to five) and several of the rooms work well in combinations for small groups. So although it offer free and fast internet, they don’t do minibars, piped music or even reception desks.
Think of Parker Cottage like a country house in the middle of the city. The kind of place where you can rediscover the art of conversation, endless breakfasts and total serenity. Parker is a social place too: Their legendary free wine evenings occur at least twice a week and there’s no ‘cut off’ time for our gourmet breakfasts either.
Please note: Parker generally doesn’t accept children under the age of 9, the house was not designed as a guesthouse so noise can travel between rooms. In addition, the corridors have old wooden floors that tend to resonate when little people run along them and the house is full of antiques with sharp glass and stone edges about face height for little ones. For these reasons, they don’t think the experience of having young children at Parker Cottage will be a relaxing one, either for you or your children!
